Valuation Guidelines for CVCA Members - Updated September 2009
The International Private Equity and Venture Capital Valuation (IPEV) Board Updated Private Equity Valuation Guidelines to take into account the evolution of fair value accounting requirements and practices around the globe, in particular as promulgated by the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) in the United States and by the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB).There is a link to these guidelines on the CVCA website at www.cvca.ca/about/valuation/ or directly at http://www.privateequityvaluation.com/.
Canadian Institutions and Private Equity
CVCA’s Institutional Committee was formed specifically to follow through on the recommendations outlined in the government commissioned report “Finding the Key – Canadian Institutional Investors and Private Equity” which was released in December 2003. The CVCA has prepared a detailed presentation directed at encouraging new institutional investors to participate in the venture capital and private equity asset class.
