The Benefit Corporation in Canada: The Evolution of the Corporation

There are 26 states plus the District of Columbia in the United States of America where legislation has been enacted permitting a new type of Corporation.

These corporations are also referred to as benefit corporations; for-profit corporations voluntarily identifying and committing themselves to a triple bottom line of profit, people and the planet (the “Triple P Bottom Line”).
