The opportunity

As the Senior Manager, DevSecOps & Environment Automation, you will lead the delivery of automation and enablement through integrated development and infrastructure automation capabilities aligned to the needs of our organization.

Who you'll work with

As a key member of the Application and Environment Delivery team, you will guide a global, cross-functional delivery squad and partner closely with Product, Solution Engineering and Technology Infrastructure teams to enable Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery of technology ecosystems. You will use industry standard technology, processes and appropriate automation to meet organizational needs and build strategic relationships with key business partners within Teachers’.

What you'll do

  • Work with all product and Service delivery teams to apply standardization, common implementation, processes and efficiencies for DevSecOps practices
  • Create and maintain enterprise wide Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment capability coordinated with Technology Infrastructure services using automation techniques and industry methodologies
  • Lead the end-to-end lifecycle for tools associated with DevSecOps capabilities including addition, removal, as well as keeping technically current
  • Conduct analysis of demand for DevSecOps services and influences partners to ensure that the necessary decisions and investments are made to deliver required services
  • Research and propose adoption of new/enhanced standards based on evolving needs of our business partners and the associated practices of DevSecOps and Automation

What you'll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Studies, IT or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years managing and/or leading a technology team
  • 7+ years’ of experience in information technology
  • Experience handling vendor relationships at a management level
  • Management of budgets > $1M
  • In-depth understanding of Agile (including CI/CD, DevOps), SDLC (waterfall and iterative), ITIL and other application release delivery frameworks.
  • Experience leading the development and Delivery of Services and/or capabilities in support of the Product Delivery lifecycle by assuming a leadership role in coordinating activities, scheduling, and project control
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with ability to negotiate, influence, make recommendations, facilitate decisions, and collaborate across with teams with various technical expertise
  • Excellent verbal and written communication capability across a varied audience at the technical professional and customer/stakeholder levels
  • Excellent in critical thinking and problem solving skills, planning and organizing and organizational change disciplines.
  • Strong understanding of current product delivery processes, standards, and tooling is required. This includes: analysis and design techniques and tools, development techniques, testing approaches and deployment methods. Practical experience using continuous build, testing, integration and delivery techniques
  • Deep knowledge gained through extensive experience and success in delivering technology services with practical experience with DevSecOps and Automation practices
