Founded in 2017 and led by Arlene Dickinson, District Ventures Capital is a Canadian venture capital firm focused on investing in innovative early-stage consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies. Our portfolio includes 20 companies across categories such as beverages, premium frozen foods, produce, and other staples, snacking, dietary foods, pet food, and skincare. Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Growth Financing Lead to manage the transaction process and post-investment oversight of certain District portfolio companies. The successful candidate will focus on due diligence, legal, and investment documentation as well as post closing monthly monitoring, analysis, and reporting to District’s leadership team. This role does not involve sourcing new deals but plays a key part in executing growth financings with the existing portfolio and new investments.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the due diligence process to assess financial statements, operating metrics, forecasts and ensure plans are well understood, documented and are in line with return profile objectives.
• Consider other opportunities and/or risks such as market, management, legal and other factors.
• Prepare and review legal, investment, and financing documentation in collaboration with legal counsel and internal team.
• Coordinate internal approval processes and stakeholder communication.
• Manage post-closing activities, including monitoring key performance metrics and supporting portfolio companies’ ongoing growth initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with portfolio management teams to ensure alignment and to identify any additional financial or operational support needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation for all transactions and ongoing portfolio management activities.
• Support the development and improvement of internal processes related to deal execution and portfolio oversight.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or related financial roles, particularly with equity or debt transaction execution and portfolio management.
• Strong understanding of legal documentation, due diligence procedures, and financial analysis.
• Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for stakeholder coordination.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with the consumer packaged goods industry and startup growth dynamics is a plus.
