IMCO Private Equity is seeking a highly motivated Senior Analyst / Associate to join the team!

Working under the direction of a Managing Director, Private Equity, this position is part of the broader IMCO Investments team and is primarily responsible for supporting senior Private Equity team members. Primary emphasis will be to provide investment analysis and research, portfolio monitoring and reporting, and deal analytics related to the Private Equity team’s funds and co-investments program. This position works within broad guidelines, policies, and agreed methods to help structure decisions and demonstrate investment judgement in completing assignments and team interactions.

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for:
– Conducting research and analysis on a broad range of topics to support investment decision-making across the Private Equity asset class.
– Assisting the Private Equity team in the due diligence process and preparing investment reports and presentation materials for investment committees and other stakeholders.
– Applying sound investment knowledge and experience to build and analyze complex financial models, valuation analyses, and fund performance analyses.
– Developing, generating, and collating periodic and ad-hoc analyses for investment and portfolio management purposes and satisfying board and client reporting requirements.
– Applying investment management knowledge to support the Private Equity team by generating research and analysis that contribute to policies, procedures, and strategies to improve the portfolio’s risk-return profile.
– Producing applicable reports and analyses to be used by the senior team in the decision-making process and providing support in general analysis and review of investments and the portfolio.

What do you need to succeed?
– University degree in Business or a related discipline; CFA designation (or working towards obtaining the designation) is viewed positively.
– 1 to 5 years of relevant full-time work experience in private markets investing (preferably in Private Equity) or investment banking.
– Excellent quantitative, analytical, financial modeling, valuation, problem-solving and researching skills with strong attention to detail.
– Consistently deliver quality outputs in a fast-paced environment, with an ability to work to tight deadlines and the capability to handle multiple projects and ad-hoc requests simultaneously.
– Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with colleagues at all levels and cultivate key partnerships to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
– Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to explain complex issues in a clear and compelling manner and present information to internal stakeholders.
– Demonstrated ability to be proactive and take initiative to understand, support and implement goals and objectives.
