As part of CVCA’s D&I priorities and under the stewardship of the D&I committee, we are laser-focused on benchmarking and building a diverse talent pipeline within the Canadian VC and PE sectors.
The CVCA is launching a Co-Op & Internship Pilot in Fall 2021 to place BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour) students and recent graduates into junior-level roles at ten (10) VC and PE firms, in collaboration with ICON Talent Partners, a non-profit with experience helping CVCA member organization Georgian in sourcing BIPOC talent for both full-time and internship roles. 50% of candidates put forward for the pilot to enter VC/PE firms this Fall will be women from visible minority communities – the most underrepresented group in private capital.
Interested In Partnering?
The CVCA and ICON Talent Partners are currently seeking partnerships with Canadian universities that would like to provide this opportunity for their students. Universities interested in this unique opportunity should contact the CVCA.
